Girls Recreation Classes
(5 years & older)

Girls Recreational Class Schedule

San Mateo Gymnastics is excited to announce limited, small group classes of 8 children maximum, for Girls Intro, Girls 1, & Girls 2.  Class lengths have been adjusted to 50 minutes to allow for sufficient time for entering/exiting the facility and prepare for the next groups arrival.  

Girls must check in with their instructor and be ready prior to class start time. Late students (no more than 5 minutes) will not be permitted.

Make-ups:  Make-ups:  We do not offer make-ups for missed classes or gym closures.

Please see “Download Forms” page for all documents that must be filled out and returned back along with payment to secure a spot in class. Tuition must be payed through our brand new Parent Portal which is linked at the top of the page.  Once all paperwork and tuition is received your child’s space in the class will be secured as long as the class has not filled up.

Tuition is due monthly, on the last day of the month for the upcoming month (i.e. December Tuition is due by 11/30) and does not include $50 annual registration fee.

Girls Beginning

Gymnastics for girls with minimal or no experience (minimum age 5yo) but must be able to work Independently with minimal assistance. Girls will learn how to properly demonstrate skills such as a bridge on the floor, handstand against the wall and a beginner cartwheel. Girls will also learn basic skills on the bars such as front support, cast, and forward dismount. They will also be introduced to walking and standing skills on the balance beam. Please contact us for availability as almost all classes are full, some with waitlists. Our system does not show pending enrollments or if there is a waitlist for a class.


Girls One

A program for girls who have all the necessary skills required by our program for continuing gymnastics development. Gymnasts will learn skills such as a pullover, handstand, and bridge kickover, ages 6+ and must have completed Girls Beginner. Please contact us for availability as almost all classes are full, some with waitlists. Our system does not show pending enrollments.


Girls Two & Girls Intermediate

** Must have instructor approval before beginning this level. Gymnasts will begin to improve skill training in the women’s gymnastics program and receive higher level instruction in preparation for competitive team program or advancement in all around skills. Enrollment in these classes are for Girls 2 and Girls Intermediate gymnasts.
