What is Acrobatic Gymnastics? Acrobatic gymnastics is perfect for those athletes who love to tumble, dance, and want to learn something new and exciting. The sport is recognized by USA Gymnastics and consitists of building pyramids with partners, choreography on the floor, tumbling, and dynamic acrobatics. It is a fun and exciting sport that teaches children of all ages basic motor development and coordination, as well as communication though group interacting and team building. What will my child work on in class? Your child will work on building pyramids, tumbling, and interaction between other students. They will learn the foundations of dynamic routine involving tosses and catches with partners as well as balance routines involving basic balance movements. They will also work on basic tumbling skills. When, where, and how much is the Acro class? When: Program will begin on September 18th and go every week until December 11th. The class will meet every Friday from 5:45 - 7:10. There will be no class on Thanksgiving (November 27th). Where: The class will be held in Tumbletown. Cost: $303.00 for entire class This class will be designed for those that are 6 to 13 years of age. You and your child will need to know that attending practice is very important as this sport requires teammates. Your child will need to try to participate in every class as his or her partners will be partner-less if your child does not attend. We understand that things happen, but just give us a call ahead of time so we can try to make other arrangements for your child's partners. How do I sign up? You can sign up at the front desk!
